We’re pleased to announce that the DeepL Translate script has been updated to version 3.2.5, with some important improvements!
Better Support for Footnotes, Cells in Tables and Hyperlink Destinations
In previous versions, text in footnotes, cells, and various hyperlink destinations could go missing. These issues were fixed in versions 3.2.2 and 3.2.5.
If you still find that text disappears, please get in touch with a sample document, and we’ll be happy to take a look.
Workarounds for Users Relying on OneDrive Desktop Backup on macOS
For users on macOS who were using OneDrive’s “desktop backup” feature, Translate wouldn’t work, and translations would come back empty. I believe this may also happen with some users on SharePoint.
A workaround to solve this issue is available in version 3.2.5, so if you are still getting blank translations after updating to 3.2.5, please get in touch!
End-of-Life for All Versions pre-3.2.2
Please note that all versions of DeepL Translate earlier than 3.2.2 will stop working within the next 24 hours. So please update to the latest version to avoid any interruption of service.
The latest version of Translate can be downloaded for free, here: https://www.id-extras.com/products/translate/ and/or from the My Account page if you’ve previously downloaded it.
The new version works with your old Translation Key and any remaining credit.
