Limit on number of interactive fields on one page

Is there a limit imposed on how many interactive fields you can have on one page in InDesign?

What seems to be happening is that once you up around 130 – 150 interactive fields on one page, other fields start to vanish or the last ones added don’t show when you export to a PDF.

I am suspicious there may be a place like in the preferences or somewhere you may be able to add more fields.
