Extract Pages export issues

The Extract Pages plug in is awesome but i have run into an issue. when i extract pages using a paragraph style, the periods within the text get deleted.

For Example:
Text within document = Image Name_00001_v1.1

Extracted indd/pdf name = Image Name_00001_v11.pdf

is there a way to keep the periods within the file name?
