    Hello Forum,

When translation from English to Chinese simplified (DeepL), I see many squares in place of Chinese characters.

Using InDesign CS6.  I have set the font as LiSong Pro.  Do I need to choose from a specific list of fonts for the characters to show properly?

    Thank you.

    Hi Brian,

Translate doesn’t change the font, so, yes, it’s up to you to make sure that the font you’re using support all the glyphs you need.

I’m no expert in Chinese, so I wouldn’t know specifics about LiSong Pro. But try applying other fonts to the translated result and see if the squares are replaced by proper characters…
